Real Name:

Haarlem, Netherlands

9er started deejaying early nineties. In the beginning he was influenced by the radioshow “ For Those Who Like To Groove”. This radio show was a milestone in the history of the Dutch house scene. In 1993 this show stopped. From that day on he started collecting and buying vinyl. 9er started playing at local bars in Amsterdam and small underground parties. In these days he became influenced by the Rotterdam Scene (Acid & Techno) especially by DJ Damon (Nighttown Basement) who is a very good friend since 1994. Most of Damon’s Techno anthems are now in 9er’s vinyl collection. Mid nineties 9er and DJ Dhakela started the “Roeiverenigingh Holland808” one of the first dutch online party reviews site. The site became a little movement in the “Gashouder” and they were invited by other party organisers (not Rocco) to make reviews in their humoristic style. Nowadays the site has been lost Somewhere in the Internetarchives. His passion for vinyl resulted in angry neighbours, Police visits and lots of fun :-) In 2010 9er started making music together with Danny de Graan (Dan Grain). Both are Detroit Techno lovers and decided to combine their passion. This resulted in their first vinyl release at Adepth Audio. The track Mila received very positive feedback from Orlando Voorn, Fabrice Lig etc.
